The Gavita Master EL1 control unit

The Gavita Master EL1 control unit is designed for simultaneous switching, regulation and temperature control of one to forty Gavita e-series lamps. It is sufficient to connect the control unit to the lamp. If there are several lamps, use the enclosed distributors (see diagram), set the switch on the lamps to EXT (external control), connect the control unit and individual lamps to the mains and the installation is complete.

The control unit can switch the individual lamps according to built-in clocks, adjust and display their light output (in percentage or absolute power in watts) and even simulate sunrise and sunset to gradually adapt to the climate in the grow room. This control unit replaces expensive timers and contactors and also eliminates the power surge when the lamps are switched on.

The main advantages of this control unit are the functions of automatic power reduction and emergency shutdown. A temperature rise above a certain threshold can irreparably damage your plants. If the temperature sensor registers a rise above the set value, the control unit automatically reduces the power of the lamp to prevent further temperature rise. The display and the warning LED indicate that this condition has occurred and also indicate whether this has happened before while you were away. If for any reason the previous measures fail and the temperature rises to unacceptable values ​​despite automatic control, the system will emergency shut down all connected devices.
