Essentials Buffer 4 and 7 pH buffers are used to calibrate measuring instruments. Without calibration, the accuracy of the pH readings displayed by the instrument will be unreliable. This can lead to serious crop failure and if this condition continues, plant damage can occur.

The Essentials Buffers use two values ​​- 4 and 7 pH - to calibrate your pH testers because they operate at the edge of the pH range you work in hydroponics, i.e. 5.5-6.5. When used in hydroponics, there is no need to calibrate the pH testers to a different value because you are only working in a small range of the pH scale.

When calibrating, it is advisable to use only a small amount of the solution in a special container, check the meter and then pour out the solution. By pouring out the used solution, you prevent possible contamination of the fresh solution and ensure a longer life of the calibration solution.
